Barry,
That's what everyone says to me about Biden, most recently, my brother, second-cousin's husband, and, last night, the dude sitting next to me at a local restaurant/bar while I tried to watch the Packers-Cowboys game.
Yet everyone, almost in the same breath say, "But I like him, though. I like him. But he can't win."
What the hell, Barry? Don't people know, didn't anyone ever tell them, didn't they intuitively figure it out, or somehow always know it, that in a country lucky enough to be both free and democratic, that you vote your conscience and let the chips fall where they may?
You don't, by contrast, somehow stick your finger in the wind, and join all the news agencies whose job it is to have their finger in the wind, and vote in a manner not unlike voting for the horse you believe will win the Kentucky Derby. Your vote is not your prediction. Your vote is your free-thinking and freely exercised belief of whom you believe is most qualified to represent you and to lead. Why are smart people everywhere - like my brother, my cousin's husband, the dude sitting next to me - voting instead like it's a horse race?
-Joe
